Frændr - Original painting

This painting is one of my absolute favorites. I love the colors, sunlight but most of all the symbol; frændr, friend.

One day I felt very lonely here in my little house out in the forest. Even though I have good friends in the nearby village I felt like I was isolated from them and especially from my family in the south. The pandemic for sure had something to do with it. But even though I knew the origin of the feeling it didn't take it away. So I sat down and started painting. These colors always make me happy. While I painted I thought about the importance of friendship and family. I also thought about the importance of making bonds to others that spring out of something positive.So that you have them in your life, not because you want to avoid loneliness but because you have something beautiful together.

Frændr. Friends. We all need them. You never know how long they will be around so please be kind to one another. Tell them how much they mean to you. And also, be a good friend to yourself.
